Have you always wanted to try meditation but didn’t know quite where to begin?
Join us for a free workshop on mindfulness and meditation and learn more about the benefits of meditation in a comfortable and relaxed setting. The session will be led by Buddhist Monk Luang Phi John, who is coming to Berlin especially to host a series of these workshops. LP John holds a PhD in Telematics and used to work as a developer before ordaining as a Theravada Buddhist monk, so he’s familiar with the pressures of a dynamic and highly demanding work and lifestyle.
During the workshop you will learn techniques on how to enhance your creativity and productivity, become more mindful, increase your awareness and use self-knowledge to create self-mastery. Take the chance to finally learn and try meditation practice; absolute beginners are very welcome.

About Luang Phi John: Venerable John Paramai Dhanissaro (Supadulchai), referred to as “Luang Phi John”, was born in Bangkok and received both his Bachelor and Master degrees in Computer Engineering from Chulalongkorn University and Asian Institute of Technology. In 2003 he then furthered his studies and completed his PhD in Telematics in Norway. During his PhD study, he became greatly inspired and developed much interest in meditation. In 2008 Luang Phi John decided to ordain as a Theravada Buddhist monk at the Dhammakaya temple in Thailand, and was subsequently invited to join Peace Revolution as a meditation instructor.
About the organiser: The Peace Revolution program began in Thailand in 2008 and aims to spread the art of meditation and mindfulness among young people as a method of stress reduction, relaxation and reconnection. Every year they organise fellowships for those who want to learn more about meditation across Asia, South America, Africa and Europe.
